Now owned by Cooper Events
, The Bath Decorative Antiques Fair
was previously run by Robin Coleman
, the Bath-based dealer, who founded the fair in 1989 and organised it for 23 years.
On acquiring the event in 2011, Sue Ede of Cooper Events was keen to retain the atmosphere of this cherished event and the exhibitors, many of whom have been with the fair since it started, have stayed on and enjoy working with the new owners.
The fair has a vibrant mix of exhibitors from across the UK and Europe and members of the Antiques Young Guns
movement have injected a whole new dimension to the event, bringing with them an audience who have inspired a new generation to mix
antiques and C20th design in the modern home.
Following many requests for a second Bath Decorative Antiques Fair, the new Bruton Decorative Antiques Fair
was launched to much acclaim in October 2016, full details on the News Page.
Sue Ede is well known, with her husband Peter Hodder
, for organising major antiques fairs across the UK for the past 30 years. As Cooper Events
, they stage The Annual Buxton Antiques Fair
and The Pavilions of Harrogate Antiques & Fine Art Fair
in the north of England and in the West Country, The Cotswolds Decorative Antiques & Fine Art Fair
at Westonbirt School, near Tetbury.
Sue Ede also runs The Shepton Flea
at the Bath & West Showground - an event that attracts many trade and private buyers across the antiques, vintage and collectables market.
